University of Alabama at Birmingham to sell prominent downtown property

According to a recent article by the Birmingham Business Journal, UAB plans to sell the property located at 1401 Third Avenue South in the Parkside District. John Hardin, CCIM, vice president of office sales and leasing at J.H. Berry, is listing the property, which is a mixed-use development-ready site of 1.29 acres. According to the article, one possibility for the property is a high-density development opportunity, as the site could support a four- or five-story building with parking underneath. Read article.
