A recent article by the Birmingham Business Journal discusses the sale of a light industrial property on Birmingham’s Second Avenue North. According to the article, Heard/Powell LLC acquired the building at 911 2nd Ave. N. from KRW McNair LLC for $685,000. John Hardin, CCIM, vice president of office sales and leasing at J.H. Berry & Gilbert, represented the seller in the transaction. John told the Birmingham Business Journal that the deal is indicative of more interest in that part of the city, which has traditionally not seen as much real estate investment and activity as the central core. The 19,000-square-foot building is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue North and 9th Street North, just one block west of Interstate 65. Read article.
