Berry & Gilbert Executive Vice President Edwin Moss recently was quoted in an article by Bham Now discussing Birmingham’s influx of young professionals looking to live downtown and the supply of mixed-use developments to meet this demand. “The national trend certainly has been a movement toward urban redevelopment and living,” Edwin said in the article. “We now have a significant demand of people wanting to live in an urban environment. That’s the driver for a lot of these developers.” Edwin also discussed whether the downtown housing boom will continue. “I think we’ve developed plenty of supply, at least for this cycle,” Edwin said. “Now we need to have some job growth.
