Describe your role at J.H. Berry.
As the marketing and brokerage specialist at J.H. Berry & Gilbert, I collaborate with our team of experts to implement the company’s overall marketing goals and vision. My educational background and experience elevating brands, solving complex business and marketing challenges and collaborating across diverse teams helps me effectively capture our message and optimize presentations on behalf of our clients.
What is your professional background, and what were you doing before joining J.H. Berry?
Prior to joining J.H. Berry, I attended Samford University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management and an MBA. During my time at Samford, I had two marketing internships, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and even played an integral role on the Samford University Women’s soccer team that won 5 conference championships during my tenure. I served as captain for the last two seasons.
What is your approach to your role at J.H. Berry?
Being a lifelong learner is key. In my role, I have the pleasure of implementing some of the valuable skills I obtained during my last 5 years of school to help real-world clients succeed. I also have the privilege of working with and learning from an amazing team. Joining the ranks of such a driven, intelligent, and knowledgeable group keeps me motivated to bring my A-game each day.
How do you approach challenges that arise in your work?
I approach challenges in my work with determination and a positive attitude. I believe it is important to not fear a challenge because everyone faces trials of many kinds. The way you deal with the challenge ultimately defines and builds your character.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work, and are you involved in any other organizations?
I am an active member of Redeemer Community Church and enjoy spending my free time with friends and family. I especially enjoy playing tennis, running, and trying out the new restaurants and attractions Birmingham has to offer.
