Philip Currie, president at J.H. Berry, was recently mentioned by the Birmingham Business Journal and AL.com for his role in a major commercial real estate transaction involving a notable Birmingham-based company. Currie represented grocery delivery service provider Shipt in its lease agreement to occupy 60,000 square feet in the Wells Fargo Tower. Shipt will become the anchor tenant of the Wells Fargo Tower, which will be renamed Shipt Tower once the company’s logo is added in 2020.
“It is exciting to see Shipt take advantage of one of the many opportunities in our downtown office market and to see a high-rise building reimagined to embrace a growing technology company’s requirements,” Currie said. “This transaction sets a precedent for other companies to recognize that Birmingham’s downtown office market can accommodate the evolving requirements of Birmingham’s up and coming companies.”
