According to experts quoted in the article, it is possible that values in Parkside will eventually hit a plateau, but not necessarily in the short-term. According to Philip, one factor that could determine when a plateau hits is parking. “Values in the area are at risk if parking in the area is not addressed,” Philip said. Another factor that could determine the area’s future values are construction costs. “The increased construction costs we are experiencing may prevent too much of an increase in values as the total cost of a project drives the rent, which drives the value,” Philip told the Birmingham Business Journal.
